Purdey Posted October 18, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi - I have recently inherited a Digilux 2 with a USB charging cable and do not seem to be able to charge or run the camera from a USB connection to see if it functions properly (USB port tested and active for other externals). The manuals I can find are a bit vague so looking for support. I have set the camera to off, it has a battery in the camera which looks to be in good condition, but nothing happens when I plug the USB cable in - I do not have an external charger for the battery but will invest in one of the USB option cannot be rectified. Am I doing something obviously wrong here as this type of tech is v alien to me 🙂

jaapv Posted October 18, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 18, 2022 A Digilux 2 cannot be charged through USB. You need a battery charger.

wda Posted October 18, 2022 Share #4 Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) Purdey, welcome to the forum.Once you have the charger, you should be able to run your camera, tethered. I have never done it, but I believe it is possible. As you inherited the camera, double-check that the charger is not lurking, near where the D2 lived. It could easily be in a drawer. wda Posted October 18, 2022 Share #5 Posted October 18, 2022 Further to my post #4, I can confirm that you can operate the camera, via the charging unit, even without a battery.
