trstahly Posted October 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have both and have a heck of a time getting the battery out of them. When I move the silver lever over it pops up 1/4" but will not come out it is hitting something. I get them out after fiddling with them for awhile but I just charged my Q2M and now want to charge my Q2 and it will not come the rest of the way out. They are genuine Leica batteries that came with brand new sealed Q2's. Welcome, dear visitor! LeicaKyu2 Posted October 13, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 13, 2022 You have to push them back in upon turning the silver lever which fully releases.
Herr Barnack Posted October 13, 2022 Share #3 Posted October 13, 2022 (edited) What @LeicaKyu2 said. Hold Q2/Q2M upside down, push battery release lever. Battery pops up, but does not come out. Now, push battery back in till it is flush and release it. This releases the safety catch. The Q2/Q2M are designed this way on purpose to keep those $285 USD batteries from coming loose, popping out and smacking on whatever hard surface you may be standing on at the moment in the event that the release lever is accidentally actuated. Farrell Gallery Posted October 14, 2022 Share #4 Posted October 14, 2022 As others have said, push gently again. This is so it doesn't fall on the floor. You'll think it's brilliant once you get it.

kirkmc Posted October 25, 2022 Share #7 Posted October 25, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I got a Q2M last year, this wasn't obvious. I had to read the manual to figure it out.
