zerukul Posted October 7, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello! I'm a new owner of a Leica X Typ 113 and Visoflex 020. The camera turns on with the display in the LCD. When I look at the Visoflex, the display shifts in there. This works as expected. However, when I remove my eye from the Visoflex, the display is not going back to the LCD anymore. I was wondering if there's a setting I need to configure or this is expected behavior. I have to turn off and on the camera to get the display back at the LCD.

TMorita Posted November 25, 2022 Share #2 Posted November 25, 2022 I have this problem occasionally on some cameras. Try cleaning the eye sensor with a Q-tip. Toshi
timrpbrown Posted May 29, 2024 Share #3 Posted May 29, 2024 I thought I had the same problem until I went outside and found it working again. Basically, it seems that the eye sensor needs more light to detect that you have moved your eye way from the visoflex. So indoors (in lower light, and not very low it seems) LCD doesn't reappear, but put some stronger light into the eyecup and magically it returns. edwardpychan Posted December 12, 2024 Share #4 Posted December 12, 2024 Hey! I had a similar issue with my Leica a while back. The camera should normally switch back to the LCD when you pull away from the Visoflex, so it sounds like something might be off. I’d suggest checking the settings to see if there’s a display switch option for the EVF. If you don’t see anything there, try resetting the camera or updating the firmware—it helped me once with a weird glitch.
