Great post! i feel the same way, and my friend and I have been laughing about it. I shoot 95% of my work with the 35lux and the 50lux, the rest with my eight (!?!) other lenses. But in my defense, I had a shoot last week that required my 28cron and 75cron, and to have it on those few professional occasions when you absolutely need it justifies owning it. But still, don't tell my wife, and please don't ever explain to her what "tax write-off" really means.

Interesting question interesting thoughts. I have a Konica Hexanon dual 21/35 that is just a champ as a one lens wonder on the M8 - it was given to me by Tom Abrahamson back in 04. It is a 21 F3.4 and 35 F4 and both are just excellent. I do have the TRI-ELMAR 28-35-50. Somehow the Hexanon Dual is slightly more practical on the M8. I find unlike film the slower F stops of this lens are less an issue with digital. I can shoot 640 ISO on the M8 with excellent results - all good.

Bit of a slide show on flickr - shot with dual 21/35 lens Novemeber 06 (got the M8 on the 9th and shot these on the 11th - .jpg black and white mode).

Best to all. Terry.

PS. I read somewhere that the Dual Hexanon I have is one of just 800 built by Konica.

Two? TWO?? Only two??? It's -- so -- hard!

OK, CV 35/1.7 and 75 Cron. Lately (for a while now) it's those two plus the 24/2.8 in the daily bag. I love that little CV 35, but I can see the writing on the wall, and it says " 35 Lux, pre-Asph... "

Now, how to find a really nice mint one...

For really travelling light in good daylight, I mount the tiny 35mm f2.5 CV and put the little 21mm CV in my pocket. If I will be in low light, I mount the 35mm f 2 ZM and put the 21mm ZM in my pocket. I recently added a 75mm but have not used it yet.
