Whilst photographing Ivy Mining Bees at Swaddywell Nature Reserve Peterborough, UK on October 1 2022, this Common Field Grasshopper landed on my plywood board (used to support my ground level seat and avoids damaging  bees' ground nests). First time use of my manual focus Canon FD 200/4 Macro plus Leitz Elpro VIIb (0.75 diopter) lenses and URTH FD to L mount adapter on recently acquired Leica CL.  I bought the FD 200mm Macro lens in 1983; it images fine with the CL.

ISO 1600  1/160  f11.

Grasshopper is approx. 25mm long excluding antennae. Image very slightly cropped. FD 200mm Macro lens focuses to 1:1 on full frame and closer / higher mag. on APS-C ... and the Elpro VIIb enables additional magnification and closer focus.
