Female Ivy Mining Bee on limestone cliff habitat Swaddywell Nature Reserve, Peterborough UK.   Leica CL / Sigma 105/2.8 Macro 'L mount'. Image is heavily cropped. The lens is not really long enough for this type of fast moving insect photography on a cliff-side habitat. Plan to 'try again' with a longer manual focus macro lens.

Another Swaddywell 'Ivy Mining Bee' pic - specimen inspecting cliff slope nesting habitat 01 October 2022. Bees will be active until end of October collecting pollen / nectar / oils from Ivy flowers to provision their brood cells — where single ova are deposited onto a ball of pollen/nectar to sustain the brood cell's larvae. Pupae will hatch in late August / early September 2023.
