lucy63 Posted September 27, 2022 Share #1  Posted September 27, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi. What would be a fair price to pay for the 35 asph pre FLE? How would this lens perform on the M11? Thanks.

That's a lot of variables, I guess then £3000 could be about OK for a pristine model.
chasdfg Posted September 28, 2022 Share #3  Posted September 28, 2022 I would say about 2500 to 3250gbp for a black copy in good shape (depends if it is coded, with box, papers, etc.). Silver and titanium ones go for about 1.5x the black ones (maybe even more). They're brass and are heavier than the black ones. As for performance, I've always preferred the rendering of it over the FLE (softer bokeh), and with a good amount of sharpness. However, my copy had very observable focus shift between f2 to 5.6 (it was sharp wide open) and I sold it as a result. The black copies all have focus shift...apparently the brass bodied silver ones don't or have less of it but I have never held and used a silver one to test for it. Artin was describing the pre-asph 35mm summilux. Too many "pre" lenses nowadays.

pgk Posted September 28, 2022 Share #5  Posted September 28, 2022 This is the 35mm lens that I use and find to be a really excellent all round 35mm lens. The going rate should be a bit below the FLE version but having looked at the dealers in the UK the lens actually seems to be very thin on the ground. The only one I can spot seems to be only slightly less than similar FLE copies from the same dealer! FLE versions seem to be around the £3k mark used. IMO the pre-FLE should be 20-25% less but  it doesn't seem to be working like that at the moment.

Not sure if I want to take the risk even for a fair price. Thanks for your reply.
