mole73 Posted September 26, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, the official Leica online store marks the Thambar-M as „sold out“ and on the homepage from Meister Camera the lens is no longer listed. Does anybody know if the lens is officially discontinued? Thanks, Robert

wattsy Posted September 26, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2022 I hope so and I also hope some YouTuber (or other influencer) stokes extreme demand for this lens.
ianman Posted September 26, 2022 Share #3 Posted September 26, 2022 (edited) I still use my old one a lot... although sometimes the result is just a pile of steaming horseshit. Welcome, dear visitor! LocalHero1953 Posted September 26, 2022 Share #4 Posted September 26, 2022 I use mine from time to time for portraits with the SL2-S. I have difficulty judging the flare/soft focus effect in the EVF, but this was a better one. No centre stop, around f/3.5. Two strobes in modifiers on either side. Welcome, dear visitor! darylgo Posted September 27, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 27, 2022 (edited) I love the lens but not sure I want to keep it. Rarely used, my attempt at duplicating the look with filters on a 50mm lens has been successful. I can't bring myself to sell it.
