boom987 Posted September 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’m using an iphone on ios 15.6.1 and the leica app no longer connects to the camera. Every time I try to pair it, I get a message saying “Bluetooth must be activated on your mobile device.” but it is clearly on. I’ve tried deleting my device from the paired devices list on the camera and i’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app and I get the same message. Welcome, dear visitor! elmars Posted September 9, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2022 Delete the App and install it new. Sometimes this helps.

Guest Posted September 9, 2022 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2022 (edited) Have you tried the old and tested method, turn off your phone and reboot it? I’ve had numerous Bluetooth pairing issues like this, usually a reboot sorts it out. Edited September 9, 2022 by OThomas

bwfree Posted April 21 Share #8 Posted April 21 I am having the exact same problem with my iPhone 16 Pro and new Leica D-Lux 8. Anyone find a solution? (p.s. I just updated the firmware to v 1.4 and same problem)
AdamBud Posted April 25 Share #9 Posted April 25 I had a similar issue with my Q3. What worked for me was: Removing the camera from the app. Renaming the SSID (network name) in the camera settings (Menu → Camera Settings → WLAN). Temporarily switching the Wi-Fi band from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz (Menu → Camera Settings → WLAN). Once the issue was resolved, I switched back to 5 GHz to improve transfer speeds. Useful infos, but for me, unlucky not working. The phone connects, stays on for a couple of minutes and the connection drops
Ken Abrahams Posted June 22 Share #11 Posted June 22 Recently my SL2S dropped out of sync and wouldn't reconnect. My friends SL3 had a similar issue however it would hold the connection for longer than a few seconds and the usual button interface on the phone did not appear. At home in peace and quiet I deleted the app and downloaded again and then had to reconnect my three SL cameras and M10 all over again. Everything went fine and all connected. It's the SL2S that gives me the most grief, sometimes the camera doesn't shut off completely and I find its full battery depleted the next morning. I need to make sure it's fully turned off with no glowing light in the top screen. I leave all cameras on the "always on" bluetooth mode but if I clear my phone apps and other windows by flicking the screen windows, the leica app says its geotagging is off but open the app and connection will re establish. Sometimes it just needs an extra moment to reconnect so I have to be patient. Best Ken

I had zero issues for like 2 years (after an initial rough start), and since 2 weeks, the App just doesn't work anymore. If there is even a single picture on the SD card, it can't populate the gallery, and the app crashes. And even if I manage to get a connection, the app just behaves like it was on steroids. The focus randomly seems to switch to face detection and then starts to dance across the screen (and since there is no face/body, it doesn't find anything either). Then it goes into "lock" mode as if I entered the menu (with this opaque greyish overlay) and I can't press any buttons. I tried everything (firmware update, uninstall app, etc). I am very close to simply buying a different camera/brand out of necessity because it literally disrupts my current workflow
Steve Ash Posted July 4 Share #13 Posted July 4 Did you delete any old bluetooth connections to your camera under setting on your phone?
Ken Abrahams Posted July 4 Share #14 Posted July 4 (edited) Sorry you having some grief with Fotos connecting Noerml. I was proactive fixing my issue by deleting all cameras from Fotos and starting from scratch. Everything was working fine afterwards. My friend’s situation was also resolved but he didn’t delete or edit settings at all. Fotos connections just worked, all fixed one morning. I suspect an issue arises when one tries to reconnect phone app to camera when they appear to be disconnected but in actual fact the connection is still in place. One can “upset” the connection by trying to reconnect, which means there isn’t an obvious indicator saying the connection is good?
