Once upon a time David Woodford worked for the Classic Collection in Pied Bull Yard, London. The shop issued a regular magazine/catalogue called 'Classic Collector'. Issue no 12 (no date, but late 1990s) features an article entitled 'How to order on the Internet' and includes a photo of David Woodford updating the shop's stock lists on a new-fangled computer.

That may be the problem, he's still using the same computer.

I do vaguely remember 'Classic Collector', I think somebody loaned me a copy once, if I find it I'll have to give it back. But if memory is correct it seemed quite exciting for the time as a one-stop-shop.

It is a claim on the credit card used to pay that is allowed that I and others have used recently, yes they are "owned" by the banks but the credit card claim/refund system is surely international or did you pay by cheque draft or transfer?

Sorry to hear of continued problems. I to narrowly escaped the trader from Cornwall and that was in the £1,000 s, I was lucky but was a few years back now.

Hi Chris, I'm glad you managed to escape the Cornwall Trader, so annoying that there are these people predating on this community. I am very glad that I posted on this forum as the sense of support and advice has been very helpful. I will make an appointment with my bank and see if I can get more information about what can be done from the French perspective.

And I'm preparing myself for a face to face with David Woodford...
