Leica M-Adapter L with Panasonic S5/S1H to read 6-bit coding?

Hi all,

My M-L adapter is not reading the 6-bit coding to identify the M lenses with my S5 and S1H. Both cameras have the latest firmware. Do I miss anything? 

My R-L adapter does the job of communicating the R ROM info with the S5 and S1H.

Can you please let me know if the reading of the 6-bit coding works with Panasonic cameras when pairing with the Leica M-L adapter?

As far as I know it will not read coding at all. The camera will ask you to input the focal length.
