I have very similar jagged edge 'mark' on a '46 f2 Summitar. It is not fungus. I would think it is most probably some coating defect.

Mine is a little further 'in' than yours, and after many test shots is not detectable, so as Pippy says, yours will definitely not  be seen in images.

Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking it should be fine. I sent it to YYe just as I was packing another, hopefully he'll give some info about what he thinks it is (and if it gets fixed up I'll try and update this in case anyone is curious). Definitely not concerned it's going to mess up the photos, but if I can get it cleaned up I may as well.
