Duplicates.  I do not like having duplicate files.  To keep the original I'd need to save the edited file as a duplicate.  If I want multiple edits of the same file I'd need multiple copies.  You might not mind that.  I do.  To each their own.

I don't expect others to have the same needs and desires I have.  I was only stating what is important to me, not suggesting a path that everyone should follow.

Nor me. It is just that I store my originals and keep them just in case. The more duplicates on different drives the better.
