Intrigued by the results from @Leiniko (ref post #420 in the D-Lux 7 photos thread) I took the plunge and ordered one.  It arrived this afternoon so I have had a quick/short (indoors) test session.  With lens set to AF/Macro & 24mm, there is a sharp, heavy vignette (see photos 1 & 2 below).  At normal AF & 75mm one can gain slightly more magnification without vignette (see photos 3 & 4).  Lots more experimentation needed and hopefully the weather (and insects) will play ball tomorrow.  :)

Normally my D-Lux 7 is fitted with a B+W 43mm UV filter and the standard lens cap replaced with the JJC ALC-LX100 auto lens 'petal' cap which can close fully over the filter.  The much larger size of the Raynox necessitates removal of the protector and it does not allow the lens to fully retract. Photos below.

PS - have now unearthed the original lens cap and silver ring which I'll use when the Raynox is fitted.
