jothiratnam Posted September 14, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I've just bought an Angénieux 180/2,3 DEM APO with an R-mount:D . I actually bought it to use on a Canon 5D, but am wondering if I can also use this lens on the M8 via a visoflex/novoflex? Anyone have any ideas or experience? Thanks
Advertisement Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Hi jothiratnam, Take a look here Angénieux R-mount lens. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wparsonsgisnet Posted September 14, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2007 You can get an R-to-M adapter that might make this work with the Viso.
luigi bertolotti Posted September 14, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 14, 2007 ...are you sure ? I seem to remember that an R lens, if someway fitted to a Viso, cannot focus to infinity... distance from M body focal plane to Viso lens flange is more than R body f.p. to its lens flange..it would become a macro lens... There is (or was ?) an adapter to fit R lenses on M bodies (22228) but without the Viso interposed, I seem.
jothiratnam Posted September 14, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted September 14, 2007 Yes, I've been reading around, and apparently with the visoflex you can't reach infinity, whilst with a ring adapter, you can only scale focus. Never mind, would have been nice as it's a wonderful lens. Thanks anyway. Happy shooting.
