Series VII ND filters - availability?

I have a B+W Series VII 2-stop ND filter for my Summilux-M 35 pre-Asph. I would like a 4-stop and 6-stop as well (in any brand).
Have they ever existed in Series VII? Or should I just get an adaptor to, say, 52mm? What would then be my options for adding a hood.

Hello Paul,

if you can not find Series VII filter, you can try E49 filters available.

Some E49 (most ? ) may be used reversed in the 12504 hood.

I have had no problem with B+W 49mm filters in the 12504 hood, I have also used Hoya filters in the hood. Some cheap filters I bought on the bay don't fit.

E49 sounds like a good pragmatic solution - thank you @a.noctiluxand @tommonego@gmail.com! I have just one E49 - a B+W IR Cut, and that fits without problem.
