George D Posted June 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Everyone I just inherited a beautiful mint D-Lux 4 and still has original firmware version 1.1 I was wondering if someone can send me the firmware version 1.2 to upgrade it. I have read that they also came out with versions 2.1 and 2.2 but had different issues but not with 1.2 Appreciate very much if somebody can help me. Thanks George D

MJB Posted June 14, 2022 Share #4 Posted June 14, 2022 I don't understand why Leica don't just maintain a firmware archive on their website like every other manufacturer...
George D Posted June 16, 2022 Author Share #5 Posted June 16, 2022 Hi, WDA Your suggestion worked. Technical Support sent me firmware 2.2 file but no explanation on how to update this firmware. Does anybody knows the steps to update? Thanks George D
wda Posted June 16, 2022 Share #6 Posted June 16, 2022 Are you sure it is not bundled with the update? If not, ask Leica to send it to you. They are fairly standard, but need care in execution, otherwise you might damage your camera.
jankap Posted June 17, 2022 Share #7 Posted June 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) I found this: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/30072265/installation-instructions-for-the-leica-d-lux-4-leica-camera-ag I´ll have a look at the version of my D-Lux4, last years I seldom used it. Do you have the wide angle adapter from Panasonic also?
jankap Posted June 18, 2022 Share #8 Posted June 18, 2022 By the way the D-lux4 has a CCD sensor! Not, that this would make a difference to a CMOS. But who knows for what it is good. 😜
