Advertisement Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Hi cocker, Take a look here Cotswold Light. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2007 Keith - There is a charm to this soft light. Well done.
Guest lykoudos Posted September 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 13, 2007 Hello Keith, An interesting admission. The foreground and the background differ in their lighting conditions and in the color. That gives its own irresistible attraction to the picture. elansprint72 Posted September 13, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 13, 2007 I think you captured it! And I'd like to see a B&W version too.
cocker Posted September 13, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted September 13, 2007 I think you captured it! And I'd like to see a B&W version too. Thanks Pete, Wolfgang, Stuart, It is a light that great British painters worked hard to capture - Constable, Cox, de Wint, Cotman etc. Distance is difficult for photographers to capture well. Pete - its OK in B&W but I'm not as captivated by monochrome for this shot (unlike most where I love B & W) but see what you think.

huwge Posted September 13, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) You can get some great clouds in the Cotswolds. I too like the contrasting textures and colours of the foreground and background in this picture, which is why I prefer the colour version http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1423/1367813374_eb46c55a0a_o.jpg
azzo Posted September 13, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 13, 2007 Terrific light and magnificent colours captured here Keith. An image of this type works also very well in a panoramic format say, cropping out the darker clouds.....but that's just my opinion. Not bad looking at all in b&w too. Very nicely spotted Keith. Guest lykoudos Posted September 14, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 14, 2007 Hello Pete, By the treatment of the picture it received still to more dynamics and tension now. Pleases me very well. Greeting Wolfgang
wda Posted September 17, 2007 Share #10 Posted September 17, 2007 Interesting to see Pete's version in bw. It is dramatic, but the colour appeals to me more. David
