Pelu2010 Posted June 4, 2022 Share #1 Posted June 4, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey , i am not sure what setting I changed but since 3 days I can’t edit the time in the video mode . No matter which mode the main front wheel edits the iso instead of the time. Anyone had this problem before? thanxs peter

You can change it back in the same menu that you use to set the custom dial functions.
Pelu2010 Posted June 5, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted June 5, 2022 Ok, i found it. i had edited in the photo Menu and forgot to do the changes in the video menu. I definitely would suggest to stick with the old settings in the new firmware. if you change something with the wheels it should behave like the old firmware. Only if you want to change it, you should be able to change it. on the other hand I am curious : why would I like to change iso with the front wheel? i can understand that changing the exposure compensation would brig some benefit but iso? also it’s not intuitive that the change can be split for AF and M lenses. From my perspective it would be better if I know that the change can be made in the menu. at first glance it seemed to be a menu that is only lens related and not dial relate. it really confuses me. man’s finally : this Is something I would change a lot in production depending on the shooting conditions. i would love to be able to enter this menu with a fn button. So I could program one of the fn buttons if needed. And under stress you are not solving this problem anyway. What do you think ?

Pelu2010 Posted June 5, 2022 Author Share #5 Posted June 5, 2022 Yes thumbwheel, but frontwheel? yes and I would love to be able to shuttles through different functions with 1 , 2 or 3 times fast pressing the wheel. So we could have exposure time , iso , exposure comp, f stop. On one wheel.
Photoworks Posted June 5, 2022 Share #6 Posted June 5, 2022 I think Leica went back to the principle function for video. For video you use the shutter speed that is double of frame rate. 30p would be 1/60's, so the only variables are F-stop, ISO, Light, ND filter. For a fast action movie you would go faster by choice , but keep it consistent . With FW updates Leica provides PDF of the changes. it is a helpful read.
