Alfaken Posted May 31, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Received my M10M yesterday. When I take a picture, the light on the back stays on much longer than my M10. Is this normal? Last time it continued to flash until I turned the camera off. Thanks. a.noctilux Posted June 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted June 6, 2022 Hello Ken, maybe the SD card, or something else. Have you format the card in the camera ?
ramarren Posted June 10, 2022 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2022 I'd suspect there's something a little funky about the SD card format. I find it a good practice to format my SD cards using the SD Card Formatter (from https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/) with my computer first, then to do a format in-camera. SD cards formatted this way seem to be faster and run more reliably. I also don't swap cards between cameras, normally, and don't delete photos from the card until it's full. These things, without making formal measurements, seem to improve write performance in general. That said, I haven't noticed any issues with write performance and the M10-M using a 64G capacity Sandisk Extreme PRO rated @ 95MB/s. It seems to write files after making an exposure nearly as fast as my CL does, using an identical card. Press the shutter button, and there's a long-two short pulses activity of the red light that takes about half a second. G 1
