lmans Posted May 20, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 20, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Was thinking of using my Monochrome 246 to take shots of some negatives in the scanning process. Does anyone know what I might need for a shutter remote release cable etc . Thanks in advance, jim
Advertisement Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Hi lmans, Take a look here shutter remote on 246. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pippy Posted May 20, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 20, 2022 (edited) My approach for tripping the shutter is to use the camera's self-timer to allow for settlement/stability at the 'image capture' stage and have found it to work perfectly well but I don't know how you have configured your own scanning/copying set-up. a.noctilux Posted May 20, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 20, 2022 M246 shutter release thread size is standard. So only needing length to chose from. As Philip, for scanning purpose, two seconds in camera self-timer. Twelve seconds too long. Even less vibration with self-timer (using with care !) than 50cm long remote shutter release that I used ...if the setup is not rock solid.
