idusidusi Posted May 9, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 9, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) As an experiment I just went out and set the camera as shown in the image. That is 8 pictures, F16, Auto ISO, Auto Shutter Speed. What puzzles me, lovely sunny bright day, ISO 100 for all 8 images which is fine. BUT all images in Exif Editor say F9.48! In C1 22 4 of the images show as F16, the rest vary including F9.48. I have edited (shadows slightly, highlights also) that was about all adjustments. I expected to see F16 for all images in Capture One and in the Exif Editor. What am I not understanding? Welcome, dear visitor! Leica does not have any communication between the lens and the body so they rely only on optical sensors to try to figure out the aperture value, that's why it's sometimes off. In my experience it's pretty much hit or miss and I don't care for that exif data since I can't rely on it. 1

I do however often use Aperture priority, i.e. I choose the F-Stop I want on the lens. I completely forgot that there is no communications between body and lens. Welcome, dear visitor! But we know what you meant. 2
