dcarter Posted September 11, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted September 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I had a D2 and when the sensor died I regretfully opted for the D3 deal...well I just purchased another D2 from a camera store that had just received it back from Leica with a new sensor focus mount and minor clean up.....now when I use the LCD in dim light it looks horrible....similar to the EVF and very, very hard to see anything it also has a slight flicker (very very slight in the dim light only) the photo comes out fine and properly exposed..and the LCD is fine in normal lighting conditions...With my D2 prior to this I do not remember having this problem in dim light (I photograph my husbands band in clubs alot and the LCD seemed fine) ANY advice, comments, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I have a call into Leica to see what they have to say. Â Thank you, Darlene.

jaapv Posted September 11, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted September 11, 2007 Why don't you just return the camera and opt for another one? Plenty of used Digilux 2 cameras out there, albeit at high prices.
dcarter Posted September 13, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted September 13, 2007 Well, Leica told me that the above mentioned behavior is just the way the NEW Sensor is. That it is different in some ways than the old one. I am not sure I like that, but oh well. I'm glad to confirm that it was not just my imagination. Â Just wanted to update. ajthornbury Posted September 13, 2007 Share #6 Â Posted September 13, 2007 I have recently had mine back after a new sensor. The LCD in low light looks fine, same as it used to be no flicker etc. Alan J.
dhsimmonds Posted September 13, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted September 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) My LC-1 is also fine after having the new sensor fitted. So pleased to have it back! I would take it back for a refund or another check-up as it just shouldn't be like that.
