An appeal to those brave young things who don't mind damaging a negative. Myself I'd rather do it through experience and basic PP skills, but the Lomo Digitaliza in itself is an ok piece of kit if that is what you need for simple digitalisation of negatives (but there may be better ways).

Another ‘alternative process’ I read about involved scissors, cutting negatives and piecing them together. 
Cutting and scratching are of course destructive, but no gain without pain, especially if the sacrificial negatives are second rate never to see the light of day. 
I might experiment when I get some time.
