M8 with 24mm Elmarit and 50mm Cron as backup kit (same focals as M10 considering crop factor) I believe the advantages of mastering a combo of lenses outweighs the creativity boost one might get by fiddling with many lenses. That has been been my experience at least.    Similar approach here; have four M lenses and wouldn’t mind getting down to 3. I once owned 5, but that was not to my liking and didn’t last long.  Cost has had nothing to do with my conservative kit; all about the creative process.   Now if I can finally get around to selling one of my M bodies (M Monochrom) and get back to just two (having bought the M10M).  Jeff

dcross Posted November 9, 2022 Share #82 Â Posted November 9, 2022 Elmarit 28mm 2.8 ASPH (11677) & Summilux 50mm 1.4 ASPH (11891),both great on Film and Digital and still pretty compact / light. If I'd take only one lens, it would be the the Summicron 35mm 2.0 ASPH (11879). If I can/want to take three, I'll add the Tele Elmarit M 90mm 2.8 (11800).
