Julius Bjornsson Posted September 10, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted September 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just a photo from saturday, overcast day, almost raining but the most beautiful colors and exceptional mountains. Icelandic highlands-M8-28mm Elmarit Asp. Â Great camera. I have taken lots of photos of these mountains, but the M8 truly excels at capturing the shades and is closer to reality than any camera I have used before. Julius Bjornsson Posted September 10, 2007 Author Share #4 Â Posted September 10, 2007 Thanks for all the positive comments. And here you have two more, first the most colorful mountain in Iceland seen from within a nearby lava field. Then a closeup of the ground showing the different colors and minerals, sulfur, and all kinds of things I cannot name, which are the reason for the great colors. This is a very HOT area, with steam and water coming out of the ground everywhere. Very very interesting, always a pleasure to see these elemental forces at work, shaping our earth. kuddel Posted September 13, 2007 Share #5 Â Posted September 13, 2007 Julius, I like the first picture most. The mixture of green and brown is very interessting, particular the very strong and deep green. The combination of both colour in this landscape is good, in my opinion. The landscape seems somehow surreal. The third image is also very interessting with all the shades of red and reddish brown. That must be an amazing landscape with great impressions. I hope I could make it to visit it and to hike there for some days. Â Thanks for sharing. Regards, Andreas
