Brisbane isn’t a small town though, it’s a state capital and Australia’s third largest city, all factors to be considered. Definitely being in a social media culture where everyone wants to be acknowledged benifits photography. I believe its also about mindset and how confident one is photographing in the street of whichever city they're in. Often to get a decent shot that's engaging one needs to be within anothers personal space/bubble, which becomes smaller in busier crowded cities, and is advantageous to becoming 'invisble'. And sometimes one just needs the balls to just shoot first and to worry about things later. It's important to know that taking photos of people in public is not a crime( at least the western world) and the photographer is not doing anything wrong. Having that postive mindset in which ones photography is enriching the world will often than not keep a person out of trouble. Never had trouble in shooting around Brisbane CBD so far. Having good intentions helps. 😄 Edited February 20, 2023 by cboy
