My brandnew camera has following defect. Sometimes after taking a picture it is getting froozen with  display on.  No way to get it alive  neither with the powerswitch off-on  nor any other button.  Finally I had to remove the powersupply to make the system working again. Camera has been returned to the dealer for repair. 
Has anybody made similar experience?

Why did he not replace it with another one, as he is supposed to do?

If very new, insist on a new replacement. That is why you deal with a Leica dealer.

It's happened to others, and it's happened to me too.

I haven't had this problem with my Lux 7, but something similar with a Canon DSLR.  I was told this kind of fault showed itself when the memory card was faulty and the camera kept trying to save the image and couldn't, so it froze.  Might be worth trying a different card.

I found my d-lux 7 would only work with recent scarfs. I used an older 64 GBC and it wouldn’t take images or turn off. Upgraded to new card resolved the issue
