JMLu Posted March 22, 2022 Share #1  Posted March 22, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) My brandnew camera has following defect. Sometimes after taking a picture it is getting froozen with  display on.  No way to get it alive  neither with the powerswitch off-on  nor any other button.  Finally I had to remove the powersupply to make the system working again. Camera has been returned to the dealer for repair. Has anybody made similar experience?

jaapv Posted March 22, 2022 Share #2  Posted March 22, 2022 Why did he not replace it with another one, as he is supposed to do?
wda Posted March 22, 2022 Share #3 Â Posted March 22, 2022 If very new, insist on a new replacement. That is why you deal with a Leica dealer.
Geoff777 Posted March 27, 2022 Share #4 Â Posted March 27, 2022 It's happened to others, and it's happened to me too. Thread down the page: Â It doesn't do it very often and luckily I haven't missed any shots because of it. Â
Paul Heiney Posted November 18, 2022 Share #5 Â Posted November 18, 2022 I haven't had this problem with my Lux 7, but something similar with a Canon DSLR. Â I was told this kind of fault showed itself when the memory card was faulty and the camera kept trying to save the image and couldn't, so it froze. Â Might be worth trying a different card. GrahamBC Posted July 16, 2023 Share #6  Posted July 16, 2023 I found my d-lux 7 would only work with recent scarfs. I used an older 64 GBC and it wouldn’t take images or turn off. Upgraded to new card resolved the issue
