Hello Mirko,

which camera you plan to use ?

With liveview, you may use a ring like OUFRO, 1.0cm but with your 21mm *, the close range would be only close range

with few possible distance settings.

* you can try 21mm

in my view, longer lens would be more practical with less distortion

I  would use one of micro/macro lens (SLR with adapter) in the 50-60mm range that I already have

The 21mm will be too wide to use with an OUFRO, it gets pretty close with a 50mm (I mostly used an f1.0 Noctilux)

As I wrote somewhere, with 21mm lens close focus feature was put in Leitz/Leica lenses...old design.

I have Super-Angulon 4/21mm lens with mfd 40cm and another rare lens Super-Angulon-R 3.4/21mm with mfd 20cm.

Now I know why because adapting a "ring" or close-up lens is not that practical and with large dof, using these 21mm lens close is not a problem.

Tri-Elmar-M 16/18/21 can focus to 50cm, I don't know why this limitation to 70cm in the new design.

Very easy to make close focus with wide lens if the manufacturer want to do.

Let's be more practical ...

Out of curiosity, I had a look on my S-A 21mm , the difference in "advancing" the optical cell is about 2 to 3 mm from focus 70cm to 40cm.

Having a ring of two or three mm for your 21mm lens ( @overexposed to focus to 40-50cm ) is not possible.
