Remote relaese cable

I visited the Leica store in Wetzlar today, and they gave me a free release cable RC-S. I have trouble to use it on the S007.

• The cable has a red coded Lemo plug (1 guiding pin)
• The red code socket on the S007 is the USB 3.0 connection. The plug slides easily in here, but no reaction from the camera.
• The remote control socket below in code blue and has 2 guiding pins.
   

Any idea what is wrong (as it was a gift, there is no user manual)

You need a blue coloured plug on the remote release. The red plug is for S2; the blue for 006, 007 and S3.

You can probably trade it in to a leica store towards the proper one…
