RS-Colo Posted March 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone tried the new PhotoLab 5 now that they support the M10-R? I am particularly interested in the PRIME noise reduction. They used to be great at NR, but then they stopped supporting new Leicas for a few years. Now that they are back I am interested to see if they are still doing a great job.

I only have a handful of downloaded M10-R raw files and can only say that it technically works. Nothing that requires PRIME noise reduction.
RS-Colo Posted April 10, 2022 Author Share #5 Posted April 10, 2022 Thank you Tom. Good news. Now someone should have a chance to test the PRIME noise reduction on some good test files.
probert Posted April 14, 2022 Share #6 Posted April 14, 2022 This is not a perfect example, because I had to downsample it again to jpeg2000 or the filesize would be too big. But here's a quick shot of my keyboard at 50,000 ISO on the left, followed by deepprimes done in Photolab5.2 and PureRaw2. They are both brilliant and absolutely the same. I will try to get a better example, but this gives you the right idea. Untitled-1.jpf

probert Posted April 14, 2022 Share #8 Posted April 14, 2022 Another example from photolab. The fact that the apples and tangerine look old is not photolab's fault. Welcome, dear visitor!
