romanus53 Posted March 3, 2022 Share #4 Posted March 3, 2022 Hi Mustafa, afaik the CIOS and BIOS reports on Leitz, Zeiss or Schott did not mention any use of Thorium or other rare earth material in Germany. Leitz used such glass on the Summicron and the glass was supplied by Chance Bros. from England, later the used Schott LaK9. Edward Kaprelian https://opg.optica.org/josa/abstract.cfm?uri=josa-37-6-466 did not metion such lenses but aspherical lenses explored by Zeiss. Marco Cavina http://www.marcocavina.com/articoli_tecnici_fotografici.htm has published on Leitz lenses online.
