So does one simply register a D-Lux 7 on Leica website and Downloadable Firmware/Software to Edit Raw images shot on a D-Lux 7 on Photoshop?

I know one could simply shoot Raw on a D-Lux 3 and download images to a computer and open them in PS.

Anyone know about this topic in depth?

Grateful to learn about this.

I did not find a dedicated downloadable software for desktop editing. The Fotos app is for iPad and iOS.The  Lightroom editing option is not a free subscription.

On Mac OS, I use Image Capture app to transfer the RAW files to Mac.

The registration on Leica website is for intimation of firmware updates and ? warranty extension by 1 year.

OK. Thank you.

In the meantime, from the Apple Community Discussions, I discovered the Adobe DNG Converter, download for Free from the Adobe website. It converts RWL files to DNG, which can then be opened on older versions of PS and allows editing the Raw format files.

Does one pay for the Warranty Extension? And if so, how is it calculated?
