Kodak Panatomic-X was a much better film. I really see no reason to use Pan-F+. Delta 100, Acros, and T-Max 100 offer similarly fine grain. Does Pan F+ offer any better tonality in exchange? All I remember is loading a camera with it, shooting about 10 frames, forgetting about the fact that I had loaded film in that camera until over a year later, finishing the roll, developing it, and seeing that the first 10 shots were super thin. The poor latent image stability reputation is not a myth
Advertisement Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Hi GarageBoy, Take a look here Ilford Pan-F Plus. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Pyrogallol Posted September 15, 2022 Share #62 Posted September 15, 2022 Pan F can be a bit tricky, it doesn’t like under exposure. I developed a roll today which was ok. One I developed a couple of weeks ago in hot weather came out thin as I reduced the developing time from 17 minutes to 13 because the temperature was 24c using an Ilford chart that is usually correct for adjusting times for temperature. I must have reduced the time too much or it didn’t like such a big adjustment?
