Boojay Posted February 18, 2022 Share #1  Posted February 18, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thought this might be of interest to anyone thinking of trying it.. plenty of reviews on youtube but mostly on Sony bodies.  I just came across it by accident and really had to try it given that it was delivered to me complete with hood, and lens pouch from the particular retailer for around £95.  I don't have the 23 TL, my closest is 24mm in M mount and f3.8 so a fast light 35mm equivalent would be good to have in the bag now and then. Few samples and what it looks like on the CL.. from my first few images it's not going to make anyone want to sell their 23 TL, it is what it is, a cheap and cheerful lens.  0.2 close focus is good to have, centre of the frame at 1.4 is ok, perfectly useable to me, stopping down to f2.8 and beyond definitely sharpens everything up.  Anyway it's another lens to add to the growing list of L mount options, and Aps-c to boot. Advertisement Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Hi Boojay, Take a look here Anyone tried TT Artisan 23mm 1.4 Aps-c L mount. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tommonego@gmail.com Posted February 20, 2022 Share #2  Posted February 20, 2022 Interesting lens, I have the 23 Summicron so not worth one stop. While searching I did see TT Artisan has a 23 f1.2 also, about $20 more than the f1.4, a stop and a half hmmm. I did buy the 35 f1.4 TT Artisan APS-C, images were OK but just OK, not the snap I am used to out of my CL, but what to expect from a $75 lens. The mount was lose on the CL, I contacted TT Artisan, they said their early ones were a little lose and sent me a new mount and proper screwdriver within 2 weeks, great service.
SoCalLeicanator Posted February 20, 2022 Share #3  Posted February 20, 2022 It's en route. I made an impulse purchase last night. I have the 23 f2, but reckoned this one would give a nice vintage look. We'll see how it does.
tommonego@gmail.com Posted February 21, 2022 Share #4 Â Posted February 21, 2022 Have to make a correction, there is no TTArtisan 23mm f1.2, could have been a miss type on my part or a bad entry on Google's search.
