tianyuzx Posted February 18, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 18, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi folks, Does anyone experience this kind of banding issue(shows in pics below)? There are many vertical lines(around 10-30) in some of the photos, randomly distributed across the frame from left to right, of course when I shoot portrait the lines become horizontal, It is kind of weird effect that different from a broken CMOS problem, and firstly I thought it was because of the old SD card, but it still happens with my newly bought card. And I have reset all the settings, seems doesn’t work also. Really hope it is not a hardware problem, but seems it really is… it is long journey to send back to Leica to repair it…soooo annoying Welcome, dear visitor! lincoln_m Posted March 9, 2022 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2022 It could be from sensor cleaning as the lines are not straight. Can you take a shot of a plain uniform background as you do for checking dust on the sensor? That might show the cleaning marks better.

Life By Stills Posted April 5, 2022 Share #10 Posted April 5, 2022 (edited) Would be interested in what happened with this, OP. I had an M246 which had similar issues and Leica store was happy to take it back as I had only had it for less than a week, and they could see it in the RAW files. But strangely when it went for service in Germany, they said that they couldn't find anything wrong with the sensor. Needless to say, even after it came back, I didn't pick it up again and just opted for a full refund. Edited April 5, 2022 by Life By Stills
