muddy1 Posted February 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just taken delivery of a V Lux 5 to go with a C Lux. On switching on there is a lot of what sounds like white noise. Almost like the shake reduction is grinding away all the time. I have switched SR off but the noise is still there. I have had various "Bridge" cameras and never experienced this noise. Has any one else experienced this or did I ought to be rejecting the camera? Also the lens drive motor is very noisy and would never be good on a video.
Advertisement Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Hi muddy1, Take a look here V Lux 5 Noise. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted February 17, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2022 Take it back to the shop and compare it to another example. If the camera is faulty they should exchange it.

I just bought Leica V-Lux 5 (used) and it has some internal noise, in the area of where the lense is attached, noise reminds of the noise computer might when its ventilating, or an old fridge lol, not too big, but its really obvious when the camera is on, I wonder if you have figured it out and fixed it?
