To carl_valiquet, the tonality you've achieved here really is fantastic and very filmic. Any insight into how you did the conversion, eg, silver efex etc? I use a program called Exposure 7 (I think there is a new version Exposure 7 X ). Once I have applied traditional darkroom techniques to the color image, like dodging, burning, contrast and exposure, I send the image to Exposure 7 and apply the different B&W film options till I find one that suits the image. Then I tweak the black and white image to my liking. During my many years of being a darkroom assistant and a commercial photographer , my preferred media was black & white. And being able to apply masks, dodge and burn in specific areas, helps me make « traditional darkroom » prints more easily. Regards. Carl.
