manual focus lenses for the 4/3 system

It seems to me that strictly manual focus 4:3 lenses might be a bit of a contradiction, particularly once the photographer develops a work style using the automatic focus to focus the lens on a desired point.

Personally I would prefer lenses with good manual and the option for automatic, kind of like the kit zoom. it seems that is also the general style of the new designs from Leica/panasonic. including the aperture ring.

There is clearly a interest in the market for entirely manual lenses (there is quite a few people converting konica lenses), still I am not sure there is enough market to make them or at least justify it financially.

I use Contax manual primes on my L1 and love them. Also get focus confirmation with the green light...

Today arrived my adpater for the Nikkor lenses. Have you experienced automatic metering resulting in darker photographs?

I'll try next week my old 180 mm /2.8 and I'll post some photos with it on the D3
