01maciel Posted February 8, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Compared to the Voigtlander VM Nokton 35mm 1.2 ASPH. II my new Sigma 35 mm 1:1.2 DG DN Art for L-mount is huge and looks and feels like a big oversized plastic yoghurt pot. I know it is not fair to compare M-lenses with L-lenses due to the AF inside and different inherent construction. Anyway, just today I received my copy of the Sigma 35mm f/1.2. Unfortunately, it was raining the whole day so I couldn't go out. I did some testshots at home and it looks very promising when shooting wide open. I post a couple of images all wide open at f/1.2 since there aren't a lot of information in the forum. Welcome, dear visitor! scrollt Posted February 8, 2022 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2022 Uh, that's a good thread! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS LENS. It's absolutely fantastic. Huge and heavy, but so good. The only thing that annoys me is the aperture ring I can't lock. It moves way too easily and I always notice too late that I use something else than 1.2 2

I'm wondering why this lens is almost unknown in the L-mount world. Perhaps due to the heavy weight and its ridiculous size? I managed to shoot some photos today. A dull winter day with drizzle . Unfortunately, no mountains or stars but a used cloth instead. Welcome, dear visitor! scrollt Posted February 9, 2022 Share #10 Posted February 9, 2022 No mountains and stars anymore for me either now Only clouds, the city and bad weather I think it's a very niche lens, too big, too heavy and very expensive. But looking at these photos wide open simply amazes me every single time. Just like the 135mm 1.
