EddieCheddar Posted February 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all, Just passing on a very minor detail which I haven’t read anywhere else — so forgive me if this is old news. But the rangefinder focus patch on the M11 has slightly rounded corners, instead of strictly squared. I know, super minor detail, however I do think that the rangefinder on the M11 is easier (maybe clearer? Brighter?) to use than the M10. Peace!

shirubadanieru Posted February 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 6, 2022 nop that change does not make it easier / harder to focus. actually, i have not even noticed the rounded corners.
Photoworks Posted February 8, 2022 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2022 the rounded corner are only for 90mm and 135mm , not too many people use them on M cameras.
EddieCheddar Posted February 8, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted February 8, 2022 "The rounded corners are only for 90mm and 135mm..." Thanks for the information. Interesting that the M11's focus patch has the rounded corners, as opposed to the square-corner focus patch on the M6's and M10's. Maybe some other M cameras have rounded corner's, too? Who knows, and who cares? ha. Not a big deal at all, but I do like the rounded corners a bit better for some reason. 📸 PS. I'm also madly in love with the M11 -- really loving it. cbgrey Posted February 8, 2022 Share #5 Posted February 8, 2022 Does anyone know the reason for this (microscopic) change? Especially since it's only on 90mm and 135mm frame lines.
wdahab Posted February 8, 2022 Share #6 Posted February 8, 2022 Using a 35mm lens (which of course shares 135mm frame lines) I see rounded corners on the focus patch. So not sure if "only for 90mm and 135mm" is quite correct.
Gelatino Posted February 10, 2022 Share #7 Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Rounded corners for me. Not the main reason why I acquired a M11😜 but I don't dislike it. Since the shape of the patch is part of the OVF it has nothing to do with the lens mounted on the body.
