Dear leica friends,

I have two questions about the Swabs:

1. In the US list (http://www.sensorswab.com) you see that the DMR from Leitz need Swab

number one

I have bought the Swabs number three and on the box stood Leica DMR

So the US list from Swab says another number then the box.

Which number is correct for the DMR from leitz ?

And for the M 8 from leitz ?

I quess the U.S. list ( http://www.sensorswab.com) is not correct.

2. What does the letters "MFG OK" means ?

In the US list with all the camera's and the recommended fluid and Swab they use

these letters with "Y" or "N" beneath it.

"Y" = yes ? "N" = No ?

Here a part of the US list:

Is there anyone who knows the answer ?

Swab 1 or 3 for the M 8 and the DMR?

And what does the letters MFG OK mean ?

Greetings, Rob

Never used the Sensor Swabs by PSI but I believe they are made so the go all the way across the sensor, covering all of it. So you only need to swipe the sensor once. The numbers are for different widths. So you could use a smaller swab and do 2 swipes across the sensor to cover it all with a smaller swab.

For Genuine Sensor Swabs (trade mark) made by Photographic Solutions Inc you need a number 1. Other manufacturers (generic sensor swabs - small s) may use different numbering systems. You need a 21mm wide swab, also described as an APS-C or 1.3 Sensor.

Thanks !! The problem is that the US list advice another number Swab then here in the Netherlands !! Here I read to use Swab 3 for the DMR but the US list says number one.

I have mailed to Swab, USA, but I don't recieve any answer.
