Advertisement Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Hi Dave in Wales, Take a look here Images via Wi-Fi from Q2 to MacBook Pro running OS Monterey V12.1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
PhotoCruiser Posted January 26, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) No, it's not. It probably works from the Q to iPad thru the Leica Fotos App and then from the iPad to the MacBook by AirDrop. But this will be slower than pulling the card out and import the photos directly from the card to the MacBook. Or use the time saved by transferring the card to the computer to spend more time editing the shots you want to keep. In other words it's a faux advancement. humerc Posted January 27, 2022 Share #6 Posted January 27, 2022 There is an app that works with my M10-D (and with all other M10s, afaik), a Forum Member developed it. You can download it here and try if it works also with the Q2: https://transienteye.com/software/

Dave in Wales Posted January 30, 2022 Author Share #9 Posted January 30, 2022 Even if it were possible, I've concluded ti would take far too long as to be impractical.

It's not automatic, and you can't just copy the app from the iPad and put it on a Mac.
nicci78 Posted January 31, 2022 Share #13 Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) actually you can install any iPadOS app on M1 macs with this amazing application : iMazing However Fotos App may not work properly, due to Wifi and BT privileges being different. Worth a try if you really want to use it. But wire is best. Haven't you notice that Leica caved in and includes now an USB-C to Lightning cable inside the M11 box ? So even for Leica wire > wireless https://imazing.com Edited January 31, 2022 by nicci78
kirkmc Posted January 31, 2022 Share #14 Posted January 31, 2022 Again, not all iPad/iPhone apps will run on Mac for various reasons. The USB-C port provides more than data transfer: it also allow for charging and tethering.
