calidre Posted January 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 17, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey All - I was trying to use my Sl2-S with my macbook. I was trying to help my nephew record reaction videos and also use the camera as external on Zoom calls. I connected HDMI to USB-C but it doesn't recognize anything when I connect it. I'm not sure if I'm missing a simple mistake during the process. I put the camera in video mode and i've tried putting in USB storage and PTP and still nothing. Am I missing a utility firmware to download ? I even tried my nephew's PC (hdmi to hdmi) and nothing; so I feel i'm just missing a step. Any help appreciated thank you!! beewee Posted January 18, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2022 (edited) Most USB-C to HDMI cables only supporting output from the computer and not input from another source into the computer. You’ll need an HDMI capture device like this (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1600109-REG/pengo_technology_8rgra_h01c01s0pe_4k_hdmi_to_usb_c.html) to feed it into your computer. Photoworks Posted January 18, 2022 Share #3 Posted January 18, 2022 Keep in ming that you need a hdmi capture card to USB. I think you are using the reverse adapter, that wold be hdmi out to a monitor. There are many 20 $ capture cards on Amazon that work in 1080p. No other program needed
