Ah - well, I totally disagree, the Summarits were small, faster than elmarits and lovely optically. Although, unless you are in Noctilux territory, a half a stop doesn't amount to a hill of beans. All told it was a tough lessen for Leica to learn - a properly appointed line of basic elmarit lenses (much like the 28/2.8 ASPH), would have made a perfect entry point into the world of M lenses.
