My M9-P was lonely. So I adopted him a brother.

At first I didn't think it was going to work. They argued a lot initially and I had to break up more than a few scuffles. You should have seen and heard them go at it on my desktop, it was pretty bad. And the surprised looks my two male cats gave them... oh I'm telling you it was priceless! Thank goodness they are built so well. They can really take some verbal abuse!

Yet given enough time, and after they really got to know each other, the two started to get along. Eventually they realized that they need to try and find things in common because after all, their goal is one in the same. They just have different ways of going about achieving it. Would you believe that the two are now nearly inseparable!?

Call me surprised because the two couldn't really be more different. Sure, they look near identical brothers on the outside, but their personalities are just leagues apart. The M-P 240, well he embraces modern life and technology and particularly loves using whatever lens, adapter, or evf I attach to him. Whilst the M9-P is just ... traditional, more "old school" I suppose and prefers no adapters or evf's of any kind. Whatever the case, I'm very proud of them both for taking the high road and becoming close with one another.

As time goes on, they seemed to start to actually admire each other's differences. And wouldn't you know it, they even learn from one another!  I never would have thought it was possible. I suppose all it took was a little understanding and respect for one another.

Division is never a good thing, especially when you occupy the same space.  But hey if I've learned one thing in this world, it's that life is full of surprises.

Stay focused.
