mugenmoonz0 Posted January 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone,So I shot a roll of pancro 400 with my rolleiflex about a month ago. I just finished the roll about a week ago and sent it to a local lab to be developed and scanned. The last 6 frames of the negative ended up showing these small ‘dirty’ streaks/creases on them. Does anyone know what might have caused this? Thanks! Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! kerr_fly Posted January 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2022 It looks like the glass on the scanner has marks
chrism Posted January 6, 2022 Share #3 Posted January 6, 2022 I can't tell you why, but if I take a negative scanned on a Nikon 9000 and push the curves adjustment a little bit more than is reasonable, I'll see the same lines. Got me worried when I first saw them as I thought my scanner was shot. These two half-frame images are examples, one unmodified straight from the scanner, with some drag marks (the sprockets are on the short side for half-frame) that needed to be covered up, so the second was darkened with Curves and a vignette added, resulting in nasty little lines. I think that looks exactly like your problem.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! pop Posted January 6, 2022 Share #4 Posted January 6, 2022 When you zoom into the picture, do the marks show at every magnification or just at some?
250swb Posted January 6, 2022 Share #5 Posted January 6, 2022 I can see the similarity with the Nikon 9000 scans but the OP's images appear more fluid and with some distortions to the lines. It could be scanner dirt that needs cleaning, especially if the lab scanned on an Epson flatbed and only half of the platten was affected with cleaning/dirt marks and the rest not. The answer could be closer if the marks can be seen in the negative which we don't know.
