Brian Dowling Posted January 3, 2022 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey So I am fairly new to the Leica sl2-s and I am also using sony for video with the new leica. I film weddings. I am just having a problem where I select files from 3 cameras, the A7iii, the 6400 and the SL2-s. All the sony cameras sync as Multicam in Final Cut Pro x but the Leica just doesn't and often even goes out of file number so its wrong in every way possible. If anyone is using the leica with final cut and doing multicam edits, if you see this but and have found a way to fix it please let me know Brian

Jonathan Levin Posted January 3, 2022 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2022 You probably know this but are frame rates and setting identical on all cameras? You might want to ask in the Final Cut forum fcp.co. Lots of editing help there.

BernardC Posted January 5, 2022 Share #4 Posted January 5, 2022 I don't use FCP, so I won't be much help, but I have done multicam edits in other software. How are you syncing the files? Is it via the soundtrack, timecode, slate, or some other means? Does the synchronization get worse over time? If so, it could be a simple issue of having one camera at 29.97 fps and the other at 30 fps (or 23.976 and 24 fps). Some cameras don't tell you the exact frame rate, but you should be able to see this in the clip properties.
