Homebrew edit on the m9 with 50mm Elmar f3.5. It’s so much easier on this sensor to get a film look

Evikne, my daughters are neither as patient or tolerant as yours.  It has been very enjoyable to share the photographic journey you and your daughter have made on this site.  This is one of my twin daughters, from a little while ago (in a tolerant, if not patient, mood).

DOF with that lens 😍

This excellent. I would like to see more before & after posts

I agree. Without a comparison, it's not always so easy to see the effect.

RNI Kodak Gold 800 profile + same settings with the Adobe Standard profile.

A little tip: If both images are placed in the same post, you can click on one of them and quickly switch between them with the arrow keys.

I bought an old m8, to be used mostly for b/w, but I had to create my own preset for it. I fiddled around in SilverEfex (still fiddling) and add some glow as well. Most images are done after this, but sometimes I do some local adjustments.

The aim is to create a consistent look for my images to come, as I want to use the m8 for some long term projects. I love the gritty feel I get with the m8, something I didn’t get with the m10m.

Taken with a 28mm nokton.

Thank you! The M8 files make a great starting point for film emulation.

My daughter tries out a lot of weird things with her hair. Natural imperfections and vignetting from the old lens gives an extra film feel I think.
